Hassie Davis is a 25+ year veteran of the entertainment business as an actress, singer and a dancer having worked on stage, in commercials and in films. She is a 13 year member of Actors Equity and has performed extensively in the St. Louis area with such groups as the Black Repertory Company, Historyonics Theatre Company and Hot City Theatre to name a few. She has also performed nationally with Theatreworks/USA, Mt. Washington Valley Theatre Company and Timberlake Playhouse among others. In commercials an film she can be seen in work done for Schnucks, The St. Louis Public School System, St. Louis Community College and Brown Shoe Company among others. She has a Masters in Theater from Lindenwood University, a B.A. in Theatre/Music from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where she received a FOTAD scholarship and a Provost scholarship, and an A.A. in Music from Forest Park Community College. She has been listed in Who's Who among American College Students and was nominated three times for the Kennedy Center's Irene Ryan Award for her work in "Playhouse Creatures", "Sophisticated Ladies", and "Extremities". She also works for Community Health-In-Partnership Services (CHIPS), as Program Coordinator for the teen performing arts touring group CLUB CHIPS for which she also serves as the theatrical and musical director.

 Jill has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theatre and Broadcast Communications from SIU. Shortly after graduating from College, Jill landed a part in a TV commercial promoting WFUN radio. That led to a job with the popular kids radio station as a morning show host and production director. Jill became employed by the CBS owned Metro Networks in the late 1990’s as a traffic and new reporter and in 2005 she was promoted to news bureau chief. Jill’s reports have been heard up and down the radio dial. Jill ‘s broadcast credits also include coverage of presidential debates, high profile trials, and protests. Her acting credits include theatre, commercials, industrial films, and movies.

Kelly is a seasoned professional that started her singing and acting career here in St. Louis, at the ripe old age of 5yrs old. She’s been performing on stages and on cameras, as well as, behind the scenes. She has performed with celebrities and for diplomats. She starred in and directed, numerous plays and shows. She’s hosted children’s television shows and has held numerous beauty pageant titles from all over the country. She moved to New York to continue her work, and to coach some of her fellow actors and singers, including Broadway and Disney performers.

Angie has a BFA in Theatre from Culver-Stockton College where she studied acting, dance, and costume design. She has her MA in teaching from Lindenwood University and has taught theatre for 4 years for the Parkway School District. She currently works with Shrewsbury Community Theatre as their resident choreographer and stage manager. She acts in various St. Louis Community Theatre Productions.

Dr. Huff joined Powers in August of 1994. Ted has been an acting coach for over 20 years. His students have appeared in national television commercials, toured nationally, and have appeared on Broadway. Among his directing credits he is partial to Godspell, Oklahoma!, Rumors, See How They Run, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Wait Until Dark. Ted received his BA in Speech and Dramatic Art from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Ted is an accomplished dancer having been trained in classical ballet as well as jazz and modern dance. He earned a MA in Directing as well as a MA in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. Ted was honored in 1996 when he was named Missouri Theatre Teacher of the Year. Recently Ted earned his Specialist Degree in Executive Leadership in 2004 and his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University in 2005.

Actor Ted Jordan started his acting career on the stage as the lead in Oklahoma more than two decades ago. Since then, he has used his talents as a radio announcer, lent his voice to multiple projects, an acting instructor for John Robert Powers New Orleans and St. Louis, and appeared in national print ads such as U.S. Army. He has also appeared in national commercials for Sears. Ted has added screenwriter to his resume’, worked with Forest Whitaker and Isaiah Washington on the soon to be released “Hurricane Season” and Jim Carey’s “I Love You Phillip Morris”. Having gone full circle, Ted went back on the stage in Mike Harper’s “Money Can’t Buy You Love” as Harold Williams. Most recently, Ted has finished filming “Causalities of the State” which was filmed locally, shot an Ameren UE commercial, filmed an industrial film for Purdue/Cigna, and lent his voice talents for TD Ameritrade.

Pat is currently employed at Powers Academy and Images Agency as an Office Manager. Pat has been with Powers since 1976. Pat began her career as a professional model after training extensively in: runway, television commercials, make-up, and posing. In 1979, Pat began teaching all ages of people in many aspects of modeling and acting.

Andrea Purnell is an actress of film and stage production both in the US and in France. A native of St. Louis, she also lived in Los Angeles, California where she diligently pursued her love for the arts. While in Los Angeles, Andrea stage managed for the world famous Groundlings Theater and worked as a costumer for NAACP Award-winning playwright David E. Talbert. Andrea then moved to San Diego and performed with the San Diego Repertory Theatre as well as the Ira Aldridge Repertory Players. Her acting credits include theatre, commercials, industrial films, and movies. Andrea was most recently featured in the film; "Pennies for The Boatman" set to be released in fall 2010. Andrea is most proud of her recent international stage opportunity in Lyon France where she depicted an American citizen from Pruitt Igoe. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Fontbonne University. Andrea currently works in St. Louis as a teaching artist providing theater education as an artistic outlet for underserved youth.

Tara Robinson has produced playwright, published poet, spoken word artist, and lyricist. A trainer and facilitator by trade, Tara has extensive experience in talent development and marketing. She received a bachelor’s degree from Howard University (Washington, DC) with a minor in Drama and a master’s degree from Webster University. From there she’s gone on to do community theatre for several years, teach drama to disadvantaged youth, and start an internet company for artists. Her acting credits include theatre, industrial films, and music videos. Having worked in public health for over 13 years, she’s toured in educational awareness plays, created ad campaigns, and had her literary work featured in youth magazines and spiritually-based projects. She believes that empowering the mind and spirit are synonymous with her life’s purpose. Currently, Tara works as a storyteller as well as teaches theatre arts workshops for schools, churches, and other arts-related groups. She also manages a global community arts project and a youth theatre troupe.

Ms. Terry has been an acting coach since 1990. She holds teaching certificates in Speech/Theatre and in English beyond her BA in English. Acting, public speaking classes, and play production fill her days in the public school setting. She is also a talented director of community theatre workshops for children and adults. Ms. Terry uses techniques of improvisation in her work. While traveling in New Zealand, she observed several drama schools and was a guest teacher for two acting classes. Her other lifelong interest is World Dance; she has been dancing ethnic folk dances with the International Folk Dance Federation for over 30 years and has taught dance to scouts, churches, and community groups. She loves to attend plays and musicals in her hunt for new ideas. Since her first acting experience at the age of eight Ms. Terry has been stage struck.
